So Others Might Eat/ SOME is seeking a part-time Education Program Assistant for its Family Services Department in Washington, DC. SOME (So Others Might Eat) is currently seeking a part‑time after‑school Education Program Assistant for our Family Services Department. This position serves two locations: Weinberg House, located in Northwest DC, and the Liz Donohue House in Northeast, DC.
College students majoring in elementary/secondary education are a PLUS!
The Education Program Assistant provides assistance for youth programming and educational activities for children (approx. ages 5‑12) in Family Housing.
Monday – Friday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Part‑Time, 20 hours/week)
Required: HS/GED; 1‑3 years experience in education or social services; experience providing services to children; CPR/First‑Aid, CPR for Infants.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree; 3‑5 years experience in education or social services; experience providing services to at‑risk students and low‑income families; Valid Driver's License.
