Job summary

Charter One's Academy of Before & Aftercare is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant to support the Site Administrator at the American Leadership Academy-San Tan Valley Campus. The role covers mornings and afternoons, 5:45am-8:00am and 2:30pm-6:00pm, with responsibilities for safety, activities, and homework help.

You will promote a positive environment, communicate with parents, maintain attendance, and assist in planning enrichment activities while collaborating with staff to ensure a smooth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass applicable background check.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required.
• At least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during before and after school program hours.
• Engage students in age-appropriate activities and outdoor play.
• Provide homework support and guidance as needed.
• Help students stay organized and focused on tasks.
• Promote respectful behavior and conflict resolution.
• Prepare and organize activity spaces before/after sessions.
• Maintain attendance records for students and staff.
• Document student progress and behavior for reporting.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about participation and concerns.
• Assist in planning enrichment activities and special projects.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
