Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our After School Program at Wells Memorial School in Harrisville, NH, for the 2026-2027 school year. The position follows the school calendar with the Afternoon Program from 2:00 to 5:30 pm, offering part-time, non-exempt status.

You will facilitate activities, support student growth, and be a positive role model while ensuring safety and adherence to state and program policies.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
