Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Denver is seeking an Out-of-School Time Program Aide to support after-school programming across multiple locations, including Arvada, CO. You’ll help with homework, lead activities, and promote a safe, fun environment aligned with YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

You will work under the OST Supervisor, assist with curriculum development, and collaborate with staff to engage youth and build positive relationships while adhering to licensing and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years old.
• Strong skills in human relations.
• Complete 25-40 hours of licensed childcare training upon hire.
• Within 30 days, complete onboarding and certifications including Bloodborne, First Aid and HazMat.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of OST program activities and curriculum.
• Support safety, supervision and behavior management of participants.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding participant progress and concerns.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment in line with YMCA values.
• Assist with equipment, supplies and program area upkeep; support training and staff meetings.
