Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking a Private Music Lesson Program Supervisor within the Chelmsford Community Education office for the 2026-2027 year. The role involves coordinating private music lesson schedules, updating activities in the online database, and providing registration support to the community.

The supervisor will communicate with parents, recruit teachers, and oversee room rentals and the Annual Recital, with duties extending across Summer, Fall, and Winter/Spring sessions.>

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree and knowledge of Chelmsford Public Schools' music curriculum/program preferred.
• Proficiency with computers/technology.

Responsibilities

• Update/create program activities in online database and manage scheduling.
• Coordinate schedule for all private music lessons.
• Provide registration support to the community.
• Act as point of contact for Music Instructors.
• Oversee room usage rentals and recital logistics.
• Prepare documents for instructors reporting lessons for payroll.
• Handle communications for program PR/advertising with Community Education.
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
• Organize Annual Recital and book recital venues.
• Recruit teachers and supervise lessons across sessions (Summer/Fall/Winter-Spring).
• Schedule piano maintenance as needed.
• Meet quarterly with Coordinator of Fine Arts and Director of Chelmsford Community Education.
