Job summary

Mathnasium Laurel in Laurel, MD is seeking a Math Instructor/Tutor to deliver instruction using the Mathnasium Method and support students from 1st through 12th grade. You will work part-time after school and on weekends, collaborating with a team to create a positive learning environment and build student confidence.

Ideal candidates demonstrate algebra proficiency or higher and excel in engaging learners.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to inspire students.
• Ability to demonstrate math up to Algebra I (preferred higher-level math).
• Willingness to complete 15–20 hours of training within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mathematical instruction using the Mathnasium Method.
• Maintain good availability and communicate availability for shifts.
• Continuously strive to become a great instructor and improve teaching skills.
• Attend staff meetings roughly every 4–6 weeks.
• Teach in a way that makes sense to each student and provide constructive feedback.
• Support center operations and assist with daily cleaning when needed.
