Job summary

Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is seeking an after school care counselor at our Scotch Plains, NJ location. You will assist in daily operations of the School Age Child Care program and supervise children in a safe, engaging setting.

Candidates should be 21+, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to work 3–5 days per week. Pay starts at $17.01+ per hour, with benefits including a free YMCA membership and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license and own transportation.
• Work 3-5 days per week.
• After care hours: 2:45pm - 6:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the School Age Child Care program.
• Provide a high level of supervision for the children.
• Assist with activities as directed by youth leaders.
• Collaborate with the YMCA team to maintain a safe, caring environment.
