Job summary

Family Focus seeks a Lead Instructor for the Englewood area to plan and deliver interactive K-8 enrichment activities after school. You will create engaging lessons, track attendance, and build student portfolios while supporting a team-focused environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and has classroom management experience. The role offers Tue-Thu 2:00 PM–5:00 PM hours in a part-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Education, Human Services, or Youth Development.
Experience in instructing meaningful elementary aged, hands-on, after-school academic projects.
Training in effective classroom management techniques.
Basic computer skills – word processing, email, internet research, online timesheets.

Responsibilities

Develop and instruct K-8th grade participants in academic and enrichment activities.
Make activities interactive and creative, using multiple learning approaches.
Prepare lesson plans one week before instruction.
Maintain attendance records and performance portfolios for each participant.
Motivate students to improve performance, attendance, and program retention.
Supervise participants in-person and virtually, ensuring safety.
Join faculty meetings and trainings as scheduled.
