Job summary

AVONDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an ACE-Community Education Instructional Assistant to support the before/after school program, help plan activities, prepare materials, and maintain a safe, organized environment for students.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, being 16+ years old, excellent communication skills, and a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred and background checks are required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation of the after-school program to meet licensing, fire and sanitation requirements.
• Assist in planning activities.
• Prepare materials for program activities (e.g., copying).
• Assist in maintaining program discipline as directed.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of programs and activities.
• Communicate with students, parents, staff and administration.
• Model appropriate adult behavior and dress for students.
