Responsibilities

• Assess each student's readiness and place at the appropriate level, confirming Tajweed foundation before advancing into Hifdh.
• Guide students through the daily lesson cycle of sabaq, sabqi, and dawr (new lesson, recent revision, and long-term review).
• Teach and correct recitation with proper tajweed, addressing lahn jali and lahn khafi.
• Set individual memorization goals and monitor pace, accuracy, and retention for each student.
• Conduct regular revision and assessment to ensure firm memorization.
• Maintain discipline and a respectful, nurturing classroom environment grounded in Islamic adab.
• Take attendance and maintain accurate progress notes for each student.
• Coordinate with the Hifz Program Director and fellow instructors on pacing, scheduling, and student placement.
• Communicate student progress and concerns to program leadership and to families as directed.
• Arrive on time and prepared for each session.
• Model Islamic manners and professionalism at all times.
