Job summary

Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools is seeking an After School Group Leader to supervise and engage students in K–5 during after-school programs at an assigned school. The role includes planning activities, teaching, supervising field trips, and ensuring student safety in line with NC Child Care Licensing requirements.

The position requires demonstrated experience with children, a high school diploma, and appropriate certifications (CPR/SFA/Playground Safety).

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience teaching and supervising children in grades K-5.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• TB test results signed by a medical practitioner.
• CPR, SFA and Playground Safety certifications are required.
• Completed CEU credits by the designated date.

Responsibilities

• Works with a specific group of children as assigned by the Site Director; teaches and supervises children in all program activities and on field trips
• Plans and organizes a variety of enriching and age appropriate program activities in accordance with North Carolina Child Care Licensing Requirements
• Provides an environment that insures the safety and well being of all students
• Participates in weekly site staff meetings
• Follows PBIS (Positive Intervention Behavior Support) guidelines for managing student behavior
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors
