AlphaBEST Education, Inc. in Pittsburgh is seeking a Group Leader for after-school programs at Penn Hills Township Elementary School.

You’ll help deliver engaging curriculum and supervise activities from 3pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday, in a structured, high-energy setting. We’re looking for an early learning professional with a CDA or an associate’s degree (or related human services degree), CPR/First Aid, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• A CDA or associate's degree in relevant fields and 2 years of experience with children.
• Or an associate's degree with 30 credits in relevant fields and 3 years of experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds in classroom setting.

Responsabilités

• Assist daily curriculum activities across World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
• Prioritize child safety and follow procedures.
• Keep space clean and organized.
• Build relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

$200.00 Hiring Bonus $20.00 Hourly

Location(s):Penn Hills Township Elementary School located at 1079 Jefferson Rd Pittsburgh PA 15235

Hours: Monday through Friday 3pm-6pm

Elementary Education, Special education and early child care education associates or bachelors.

Human Service Field Degrees also qualify in the following areas( social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, human development/family studies/counseling/ mental health counseling/nursing-health sciences, human service management, home economics/family and consumer sciences.

Other degrees outside the education and human service degrees listed above will NEED 30 ADDITIONAL credits on your transcript in the subjects of elementary education, early child care education or special education.

• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements: A GROUP LEADER SHALL HAVE ATTAINED ONE OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS BELOW

• A group supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification
  levels:
  (1) A CDA or a associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early
  childhood education, child development, special education, elementary
  education
  or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
  (2) An associate's degree from an accredited college or university, including
  30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special
  education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of
  experience with children.

• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
