Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking an After School Teacher/Instructor to support 60-80 students at a KIPP Middle School, delivering homework help, academic support and enrichment after school on site.

You will run activities across core areas, document schedules and attendance, and collaborate with families, staff, and partners in a part-time role (20 hours/week, 2:00PM–6:00PM) with the potential for a 6-week summer extension.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work with youth from diverse backgrounds, including discipline issues.
• Experience working with youth, parents and community leaders.
• Proficient knowledge of Google Suite applications (Google Classroom, Hangout, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Commitment to KIPP Public Schools Northern California's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Implement after school activities within core program areas (academic help, homework club, fitness, arts, enrichment).
• Document program schedules, lesson plans, curriculum, and youth participation.
• Use positive behavior and classroom management techniques with children.
• Track student attendance daily.
• Assist with after school program registration, customer service, and outreach.
