Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an After School Enrichment Specialist to facilitate after-school programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness. The role collaborates with campus principals and the After School Coordinator and requires 2–2.5 hours after school.

Qualifications

• Current college enrollment, up to 15 college hours, or professional certification in the subject you will teach.
• Experience working with youth in classroom or school settings.
• Must attach an official or unofficial transcript to verify GPA and credits earned.

Responsibilities

• Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system aligning to campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school-wide culture that fosters a productive learning environment.
• Establish cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.
• Provide enrichment and recreation leadership for program students.
• Facilitate planned enrichment activities for groups of 12–18 students.
• Support students' cognitive development and academic skill growth.
• Foster self-esteem and motivation through positive interactions.
• Work under supervision of Site Coordinator and coordinate with Project Director on design/evaluation.
• Organize enrichment schedules and implement evaluation tools.
• Adhere to IDEA campus rules and procedures.
