Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks After School Enrichment specialists to facilitate after-school programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness. Work is 2–2.5 hours after school, collaborating with campus principals and the After School Coordinator to align with school priorities.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior management, shaping a positive school culture, and coordinating enrichment activities for groups of 12–18

Qualifications

• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment.
• Ability to track data weekly and monthly for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school-wide culture that fosters a productive learning environment.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with students and families.
• Provide enrichment and recreation leadership for program students.
• Facilitate planned enrichment and/or recreational activities for groups (12-18).
• Assist in developing students' cognitive capacity and academic skills.
• Foster self-esteem and motivation through positive interaction.
• Be supervised by the Site Coordinator.
• Attend scheduled meetings to coordinate program design and evaluation.
• Work with Site Coordinator and Project Director to organize schedules and tools.
• Abide by IDEA campus rules and procedures.
