Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an After School Enrichment Specialist to facilitate after-school programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness. Work with campus principals and the After School Coordinator to align with school priorities.

Program runs 2–2.5 hours after school. The role offers an hourly rate of $14.00/hour plus benefits such as dental/vision, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, and professional

Qualifications

• Current college enrollment up to 15 credit hours or professional certification in the subject you will teach.
• Experience with youth and classroom/school settings (formal or informal).
• Must attach official or unofficial transcript to verify GPA and credits earned.

Responsibilities

• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Foster a productive and enthusiastic learning environment.
• Build trust and respectful relationships with students and families.
• Provide enrichment and recreation leadership for program students.
• Organize enrichment/recreational activities for groups of 12–18 students.
• Help develop students' cognitive capacity and academic skills.
• Support self-esteem and motivation through positive interaction.
• Report to Site Coordinator and coordinate program design and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinator and Project Director on schedules and evaluations.
• Comply with all IDEA campus rules and procedures.
