CW Avery Family YMCA in Plainfield, IL is seeking a part-time Before & After School Care Counselor to supervise children aged 5-12 and lead enriching activities. You will foster a safe, inclusive environment aligned with YMCA core values.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supervising students, and ensuring proper pickups. CPR/First Aid/ AED and child abuse prevention training are required before starting. Seasonal schedule applies, with a free Y membership as a perk.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience with children preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED and Child Abuse Prevention training required before employment.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensure safety and well-being of all program participants at all times.
• Plan, implement and supervise group activities per YMCA goals.
• Provide high level customer service to school personnel, members, guests and staff.
• Maintain organization of storage areas, equipment and supplies.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Verify authorized pickups by photo ID.
• Clean and disinfect high touch areas regularly.
• Assist with setup/cleanup of activities and snacks.
