Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking a part-time Before & After School Youth Enrichment Instructor to support on-site at a local elementary school. You will foster child-centered learning, character development, and healthy living within a safe, engaging program environment.

Share your enthusiasm for youth development and equity while collaborating with a team to provide consistent, quality programming on weekdays, with AM and/or PM shifts available.

Qualifications

• 17+ years old with relevant experience or coursework in childcare, education, or recreation.
• Strong communicator, enthusiastic leader, and passionate about youth development and equity.
• Meet responsibilities and qualifications outlined in job description; accommodations available.

Responsibilities

• Provide child-centered environments that promote learning, character development and healthy living.
• Support on-site at elementary school locations to ensure a safe, engaging program experience.
• Help maintain safety and security of all program participants.
