Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego invites applications for an ELOP Group Leader to provide virtual and classroom instruction, tutoring and enrichment to students in the after-school program. You will lead activities for groups of 10–20 youths, develop daily lesson plans, monitor safety, and collaborate with staff to foster academic, physical and social growth.

Qualified applicants will have at least a high school diploma, 48 college units or CAPE, and experience with youth; CPR/First

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 48 college units or completion of the CAPE; or equivalent knowledge/experience.
Minimum of one year experience working directly with school aged youth; knowledge of youth development preferred.
Experience using Zoom and Skype preferred.
Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth; instruct, coach and direct activities.
CPR and First Aid Certifications within 30 days of hire.
Must be active on your feet for a minimum of five hours per day.

Responsibilities

Ensures programs and activities adhere to current health and safety protocols.
Lead organized learning activities for students to develop and strengthen academic, physical, and social skills.
Differentiate lessons to accommodate students with varying abilities.
Plan, lead and evaluate a variety of activities for youth; provide guidance and role modeling.
Maintain accurate program attendance records and submit them timely.
Set up and clean up of all materials used during the program.
