Right At School is seeking an Educator to lead after-school activities inside Lamar area schools in Texas. You’ll create a safe, structured environment, guide enrichment lessons, and support homework while building relationships with students and families.

The role offers part-time hours with a pay rate of $15–$17 per hour, depending on education and experience, and a chance to gain meaningful experience in education and child development at your own community school.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a licensed childcare center or school setting with a large group of children.
• Ability to lead groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual with a consistent part-time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout a shift.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons for the age group.
• Facilitate homework time and support with academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions; ensure safety.
• Address minor conflicts or behavior issues using positive guidance.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up and drop-off regarding their child’s day.
• Log incidents, injuries, or safety concerns; report to Program Manager or site lead.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials daily.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff.
