Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Program Leader to support leadership and academic enrichment for K-12 students in an after-school setting. Under the Program Coordinator, you will help provide a safe, engaging environment that educates, enlightens and inspires youth after school.

The role emphasizes teamwork with school staff and families, adherence to quality criteria, and CPR/First Aid certification. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with K-12 students in educational or youth outreach settings.
• Ability to work with School District staff, parents and community leaders.
• Familiar with English/Language Arts, Math and core subjects criteria.
• Strong communication and emergency response awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing daily academic activities and tutoring.
• Create a rigorous academic environment with solid classroom management and supplies.
• Supervise participants in the classroom.
• Advise families on questions or concerns about their child’s well-being.
• Maintain a professional attitude in all interactions.
• Coordinate with program coordinator and school staff on activities.
• Engage with parents about program activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
