Job summary

South Burlington School District’s School’s Out Program in Vermont is hiring a School’s Out Counselor, Level 3, for the district’s after-school setting. The role reports to the School’s Out Site Director and supports planning, supervision, and programming for students.

Required: 2 years of relevant experience preferred and an Associate degree. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, CPI, and PBIS are expected; good communication and community relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified in First Aid, CPR, CPI, and PBIS.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily operation of the after school program by supervising students.
• Coordinate and supervise monthly field trips.
• Assist with attendance, data collection and enrollment procedures.
• Provide regular reports to the Site Director and communicate needs or concerns.
• Support training of staff and onboarding of new hires.
