Job summary

LIFT Enrichment seeks enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead hands-on cooking workshops for elementary students in Title I schools in Hawthorne and Inglewood. No professional chef experience required; training provided.

You will teach 15–20 kids, cover basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety, and handle setup and cleanup. The role is seasonal, part-time, with Mondays–Fridays 2:30–5:30 pm, 2–3 days per week, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a phone stipend.

After-School Cooking Instructor / Chef Teacher

LIFT Enrichment is looking for enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools.

Since 2010, we’ve taught 75,000+ students and built a team of 200+ Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience required — we provide training!

The Details:

• Rate: $28/hour
• Schedule: Mondays - Fridays (2-3 days per week) ; 2:30- 5:30 pm
• Age Groups: Elementary School
• Location: Hawthorne USD & Inglewood USD
• Position: Seasonal, part-time
• Paid training + mileage reimbursement + phone stipend
• Grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup are paid

A typical day includes teaching two workshops, you will be paid for approximately 5 hours of work which covers preparation, teaching, and cleanup.

What We’ll Provide

• Fun and detailed curriculum for you to follow - access to our cookbooks and fun recipes.
• Paid training 10-15 hours over the course of 2 weeks.
• Mileage reimbursement from your home to the school and back
• Prompt reimbursement for grocery shopping
• Time tracking through our clock in and clock out system so you’re fairly paid for all your work
