Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking in Superior, CO is seeking enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors to cultivate curiosity in kids aged 3–18. You’ll lead hands-on cooking classes 2-5 PM on weekdays, 1-hour sessions with prep time, and must attend 20–30 minutes before class.

No prior teaching required, just passion for kids, reliability, and a love of food. We provide curricula, tools, and recipes; you’ll travel between schools, inspire creativity, teach kitchen safety, and help kids build confidence while

Qualifications

• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Thursdays.
• Experience working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids.
• Willing to commit to 4-12 week teaching sessions.
• Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

• Spark creativity by introducing new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures.
• Stay organized by preparing for classes, shopping for ingredients, and setting up kitchen environments.

What You'll Do

Who You Are

• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Thursdays.
• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

• Benefits Included:
  • Accrued Leave: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for use of a variety of health- and safety-purposes, which employees "earn" at a rate of 1 hour of leave for 30 hours worked.
  • Public Health Emergency (PHE) Leave: Up to 80 hours of PHE-related leave when a PHE is declared.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
