Responsibilities include traveling to local schools, arriving prepared, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere while encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, fun sessions.
• Professional, positive demeanor suitable for kids.
• Genuine desire to be a positive role model promoting good sportsmanship.
• Solid grasp of chess fundamentals and can explain moves, basic strategy, and simple tactics.
• Ability to connect chess problem-solving to real-life scenarios.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel between locations.
• Weekday afternoon availability within 12pm–6pm window to teach 1–5 classes weekly.
• Commitment to school safety protocols and supervising students.
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills.

• Teach chess fundamentals using a structured curriculum and promote sportsmanship.
