Job summary

Chess Wizards is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Boca Raton. You will lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students, using our curriculum and promoting good sportsmanship.

Classes run weekday afternoons from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with 1–5 sessions per week and travel between local schools. We provide full training, a clear curriculum, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Comfort leading a class independently and creating interactive, friendly, and fun sessions.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Genuine desire to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals; explain piece movement, basic strategy, and simple tactics for kids.
• Ability to connect chess problem-solving to real-life problem-solving.
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to drive between locations.
• Weekday afternoon availability between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to teach 1–5 classes weekly.
• Commitment to safety policies and strict adherence to school policies.
• Strong punctuality and time-management skills.

Responsibilities
