Job summary

Join Delaware Schools Consortium invites applications for a Club Advisor to lead the Chess Club at Brandywine School District's middle school program.

The position requires organizing regular student meetings, supervising activities, managing budget duties, and coordinating required registrations. Occasional travel with students may be necessary.

Work is 10 months per year, with duties that support student engagement, teamwork, and chess development in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Good organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work within a budget.
• Availability to travel with students when required.

Responsibilities

• Must hold regular student meetings after school hours (minimum: 1 per month during appropriate months).
• Must have a minimum membership of 10 students and/or 1 team.
• Supervise and assist students effectively.
• Provide time and supervision, as needed, for students to conduct activities.
• Prepare and submit required registrations (i.e., dues, transportation, parental permission, registration, etc.) as needed throughout the school year.
