Qualifications

• Experience working with school age children.
• High school diploma required.
• Virtus trained or willingness to complete prior to start date.
• Willingness to complete Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating activities for students attending the after school programs.
• Prepares materials for activities each day before the start of programming.
• Engages with students from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. providing supervision of students and engagement in planned activities.
• Collaborates with the child care director and child care staff to ensure quality programming.
• Inventories the rooms and requests supplies.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the child care spaces.
• Practices positive, consistent discipline in the after school care setting and contacts parents when necessary.
• Keeps the child care director informed of areas of need and concern.
• Acts as a witness to the Gospel values.
• Demonstrates professional work habits by regular attendance, honoring schedules, organizing work, and conducting assigned tasks in an effective and efficient manner.
• Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese.
