Lake Superior Academy in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, is hiring a Part Time After School Child Care Staff to provide safe, engaging care for students in grades K-5. This 18 hours/week role runs Monday-Thursday 3:00–5:30 PM and Friday 11:00 AM–5:30 PM, supporting learning and social development after school.

You will supervise students, assist with homework, and coordinate age-appropriate activities, while maintaining strong communication with families and school staff.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or college coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience with school-age children in care/educational/recreational/youth programs preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development and positive behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
• Ability to meet all applicable state, district, and school employment requirements, including successful background checks.
