Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks an After-School Aide to support the care, supervision, and well-being of students in the school’s after-school program. You will help create a safe, welcoming, and faith-centered environment aligned with our Catholic mission.

You will assist with activities, homework, transitions, and communication with teachers and guardians while maintaining safety and modeling kindness and service. Background checks and training are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students before, during, and after scheduled activities.
• Assist with homework, reading, crafts, games, and age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment.
• Encourage respectful behavior and reinforce school rules and expectations.
• Communicate appropriately with teachers, staff, students, and parents/guardians.
• Follow all school safety, supervision, and child-protection policies.
