Job summary

The Family and Behavioral Health Coordinator at Peter Paul RVA will oversee the partnership with a licensed mental wellness provider, ensuring behavioral support, caregiver education, staff training, referrals, and evaluations are delivered effectively.

This role coordinates among clinical staff, youth education staff, caregivers, and leadership to improve student emotional regulation and staff confidence in intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years coordinating youth, family engagement, behavioral health, or related programs.
• Knowledge of youth development and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate placement and day-to-day integration of behavioral support staff.
• Monitor student behavioral support needs and coordinate counseling referrals.
• Plan and coordinate caregiver support sessions across cycles and logistics.
• Coordinate quarterly behavioral and mental health trainings for staff.
• Maintain communication among counselors, staff, caregivers, and leadership.
