Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools' Minnetonka Community Education is seeking an Explorers Behavior Assistant to support students with daily activities and behavior challenges. You will provide one-on-one support, supervise transitions, and collaborate with the lead teacher to ensure safe, engaging learning.

Shifts run after school at multiple elementary sites; base pay is $22.60 per hour with a $0.60 split-shift differential for split shifts. The assignment runs August 24, 2026 through June 8, 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with special needs or behavior challenges.

• Collaborate with the lead teacher and staff to ensure safety and success of all children.

Assignment

Schedule: Monday - Friday. Position begins August 24th 2026 through June 8th, 2027 (2026–27 School Year Calendar).

Shifts:

• Groveland, Clear Springs, Scenic Heights, and Minnewashta Elementary Schools – 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Excelsior and Deephaven Elementary Schools – 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Morning shifts (6:30 AM – 8:30 AM) may also be available.

Wages and Benefits

Base pay: $22.60 (additional $0.60 split‑shift differential for those working a morning and afternoon split shift).

Rates can be found in Appendix B.

Medical and dental benefit eligible at 30 scheduled hours or more per week.
