Job summary

brigadebgc is seeking a 21st Century Program Tutor to provide individualized and group instruction at designated sites in Beulaville, NC. The tutor will plan and implement tutoring components aligned with 21st CCLC program standards and monitor progress for reporting to the Project Director.

The role involves delivering instruction, managing tutoring groups, developing lessons, and maintaining participant records to support academic success within a structured after-school program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; strong classroom management and organization.
• Experience working with youth in a classroom setting.
• Experience writing and completing lesson plans.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of current educational research.
• Experience with Common Core State Standards.
• Ability to work with staff and families of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with students, staff and team while under supervision.
• Deliver instruction to program participants.
• Manage tutoring group structure and provide quality programming.
• Develop individual, small group and large group lesson plans.
• Coordinate after-school lessons with Core curriculum and review reading and math progression.
• Maintain records on each participant and follow up assessments.
• Provide evaluations and reports to program director.
