Job description

We’re hiring an After-Hours & Weekend Team Lead to join our operations team at Capital Logistics Group.

This role is responsible for overseeing operations outside of standard business hours and helping ensure seamless service delivery, timely communication, and effective team coordination during evenings and weekends.

The After-Hours & Weekend Team Lead will serve as a key point of contact for escalations, operational decision-making, and workload management while supporting both our customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring customer inboxes and ensuring timely, accurate responses
• Prioritizing urgent requests, escalations, and service issues
• Supporting carrier sales activity, including sourcing capacity and assisting with rate negotiations when needed
• Helping ensure load coverage and service commitments are met
• Overseeing track-and-trace operations to maintain accurate shipment visibility
• Communicating delays, updates, and service issues proactively to stakeholders
• Reviewing approvals, denials, and rate adjustments in alignment with internal policies
• Building, updating, and maintaining loads in the transportation management system
• Delegating work to after-hours and weekend team members to balance workload
• Providing real-time guidance, coaching, and support during assigned shifts

This is a part-time, in-office position with hours of Saturday and Sunday from 6 AM to 4 PM CST.

The right person for this role is dependable, solutions-focused, organized, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, logistics or dispatch experience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are key.
