Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing diploma is required or equivalent.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire (may apply to hires after Feb 2025).
• Minimum four years of recent clinical experience; demonstrated leadership competencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of nursing process, standards of care, regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and leadership functions in the absence of unit managers and senior leadership.
• Ensure safe, effective patient care after hours, weekends and holidays; maintain patient flow and bed usage.
• Provide supervision of staff and serve as a clinical resource; lead Incident Command when needed.
• Communicate with management; monitor codes, rapid responses and deployment of staff and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and regulatory requirements; participate in performance improvement.
