Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a House Supervisor to provide after-hours clinical leadership at the Medical Center. You will oversee patient flow, supervise staff, and coordinate with department heads to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role requires an NJ RN license, at least an associate degree in nursing or diploma, and a minimum of four years of clinical experience. BSN progress encouraged; leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Minimum of four years of recent clinical experience.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and leadership functions in the absence of unit managers and senior leadership.
• Ensure safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends and holidays.
• Assess all departments to maintain patient flow and continuity of care.
• Provide supervision of staff and serve as a clinical resource.
• Lead Incident Command until other qualified personnel arrive on-site; respond to codes and rapid responses.
• Collaborate with department heads to resolve patient problems and improve care quality.
• Promote patient satisfaction and monitor timely discharges and transfers.
