Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Facilities Technician 3 / Mechanical Technician for Newport, DE, with second/third shift coverage. The role focuses on preventive maintenance of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems within a multi-tenant facility.

Candidates must have 5+ years of practical facilities experience, strong knowledge of MEP systems, and the ability to work independently during off-hours in a fast-paced environment. On-site, contract position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years with strong knowledge of HVAC control systems.
• Experience maintaining mechanical, electrical and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site presence during after-hours and weekend coverage.
• Monitor electrical outages and follow established procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical and life-safety systems.
• Inspect and repair lighting, boilers, chilled water systems, and roof equipment.
• Troubleshoot building systems quickly to minimize disruption.
