Qualifications

• Certified in the content area(s) for which you are applying.
• Preference given to Putnam & HSST teachers, Unit A teachers, and SPS employees.
• Committed to quality instruction and implementation of curriculum standards with fidelity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and other teachers.
• Understand the goals and requirements of the Common Core Standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach the specified content strands: safety/health knowledge, technical standards, embedded academics, employability, management/entrepreneurship, technology.
• Provide instruction and extra help to students as needed.
• Implement the After Dark Program in collaboration with content area Directors.
• Align instruction with MA Curriculum Frameworks for Automotive Technology, Health Assisting, Metal Fabrication, Cosmetology, Support Services & Networking, and Advanced Manufacturing.
• Ensure timely grading, attendance tracking in PowerSchool, and communication with families.
