Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced AFSIM Analyst to migrate a U.S. Navy simulation environment to the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).

Translate existing models, scenarios, data, and workflows into an AFSIM-based environment. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, hands-on AFSIM experience, and the ability to collaborate with government and contractor teams to define requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria while preserving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• Experience with simulation/migration projects preferred.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current Navy simulation environment and plan migration to AFSIM.
• Convert models, scenarios, entities, and engagement logic into AFSIM.
• Develop and configure AFSIM scenarios, platforms, sensors, weapons, and missions.
• Validate converted models and ensure functional equivalence where appropriate.
• Identify gaps and propose solutions between legacy and AFSIM environments.
• Support integration of AFSIM with existing tools and government systems.
• Conduct runs, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings.
• Define requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria with government/contractor teams.
• Produce technical docs and configuration artifacts for transition to AFSIM.
