Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced AFSIM Analyst to migrate a U.S. Navy simulation environment to the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).

The analyst collaborates with simulation engineers, Navy stakeholders, and mission analysts to translate models, data, and workflows into an AFSIM-based environment. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with AFSIM scripting, and proficiency in Python or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with Navy or DoD simulations and AFSIM strongly preferred.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to translate legacy simulations into AFSIM models.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current Navy simulation environment for migration to AFSIM.
• Convert legacy models, scenarios, entities, and behaviors into AFSIM.
• Develop and configure AFSIM scenarios, platforms, sensors, and weapons.
• Validate converted models for functional and analytical equivalence.
• Document requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Support integration of AFSIM with existing tools and data sources.
• Conduct simulation runs, troubleshoot issues, and report findings.
