Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee a 150-unit affordable housing property in Peoria, IL. You will supervise site staff, manage operations, ensure rent collection, and maintain compliance with government programs such as Section 8 and LIHTC.

Responsibilities include budgeting, accounting oversight, preventive maintenance coordination, and regular property inspections to preserve standards while delivering quality service to residents and ensuring financial viability.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property management or real estate management experience as a Property Manager.
• Minimum two years of affordable housing experience.
• LIHTC Certification preferred.
• Experience with Section 8 voucher submission, tax-credit programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations.
• Collect rent and other fees from residents.
• Address resident concerns professionally.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and make-ready process.
• Prepare and follow operating budgets with Regional Manager and corporate office.
• Handle accounting functions including invoices, evictions, and resident charges.
• Hire, train, and supervise site staff.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain standards.
• Complete income verification to ensure government eligibility.
• Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
