Job summary
Related Affordable Housing seeks an Operations Support Specialist to enforce HUD/LIHTC compliance across assigned sites. You will promote consistent site operations and support accurate reporting to reduce risk and improve property performance.
You will review files, assist with certifications and lease-ups, and collaborate with regulators to ensure rent and income limits stay current. Travel to sites in the region will be required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience with Affordable Housing file preparation, audit and training, including Project Based Section 8, LIHTC, Bond, HOME and 236.
- Experience with on-site property management and operations; budgeting and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support and training on HUD, LIHTC, and company policies, systems and compliance.
- Review applicant and resident files for accuracy and eligibility; maintain compliant records.
- Assist with certifications, recertifications, lease-ups, acquisitions and rehab projects.
- Prepare for LIHTC audits, MORs and inspections; respond to audit findings.
- Monitor waitlists, market rent adjustments and UA updates for regulatory accuracy.
- Coordinate reporting, advertising, lease-up activities and compliance engagements.
- Connect residents with community resources and service programs; monitor service delivery for timeliness and alignment.
