Job summary

Snohomish County is seeking a Human Services Specialist II in the Housing & Community Development area to support affordable housing development. The role involves coordinating funding rounds, underwriting loans and grants, and developing contracts from application to closing, across state and federal funding streams.

You will work with diverse funding sources including HOME, CDBG, and state housing finance funds, ensuring compliance and delivering programs that assist low-income residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or related field; plus 2 years in human services program planning or grants
• Experience with HUD HOME, CDBG or state housing funds is preferred
• Ability to develop program plans, budgets and contract documentation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and development of complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Develop needs assessments, program plans, budgets and contracts.
• Monitor contract compliance and performance of subcontractors.
• Prepare funding applications and manage funding rounds.
• Provide training and technical assistance to sub contractors and community groups.
