Job summary

Boston Housing Authority is seeking a Project Manager in the Planning Construction Development team to oversee development projects from planning through closeout. You will coordinate internal and external teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, manage resident engagement, and lead procurement and contract activities.

The role emphasizes managing budgets, grants and loans, and coordinating with legal and real estate teams to drive complex development initiatives in Boston's public housing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 2 years' experience in project management or affordable housing finance required.
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal oversight.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Experience working with low-income, culturally diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of consultants and contractors to plan and complete projects on time and on budget.
• Plan and manage resident engagement around capital planning and community development.
• Draft and manage RFPs and construction bidding processes.
• Manage design and construction contracts and related relocation services.
• Track plans, costs, and contracts; monitor permits and entitlements.
• Oversee funding applications and coordinate closings with partners and legal teams.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders and residents.
