Job summary

Foundation Communities in Austin, TX, is seeking a Development Project Manager to lead affordable housing initiatives from concept through occupancy and maintenance. You will coordinate diverse stakeholders across departments, lenders, consultants, and government entities to ensure projects meet timelines, funding parameters, and FC standards.

The role requires strong multi-project management, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex funding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall logistics and project schedule to meet objectives and deadlines for assigned development projects
• Develop initial development budget and pro forma with senior staff, identifying funding sources and maintaining balance
• Prepare applications for tax credits, loans, and grants; coordinate loan closings and legal reviews
• Manage external partners: architects, engineers, contractors, attorneys; maintain relationships with funders
• Coordinate site due diligence: utilities, easements, surveys, environmental reports, and funder requirements
• Negotiate consultant contracts; attend OAC meetings; process draw requests
• With civil engineer, prepare entitlement development applications
• Review architectural drawings with the Construction & Design Director and coordinate feedback sessions
• Coordinate green building certifications
• Coordinate with Asset and Property Management for lease-up, close-out, and warranty items
• Coordinate with Accounting, Sustainability, Grants and Community Engagement as needed
