Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a meticulous Compliance Auditor to join our Compliance Team. The role focuses on hard-file review to ensure lease, safety, and fair housing compliance, with collaboration across property managers to implement corrective actions.

Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail and regulatory knowledge. The incumbent will review resident files and documentation, maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, and produce detailed audit reports.

Qualifications

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills, particularly with hard file examination.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Affordable Housing regulations highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth reviews of hard files, including lease agreements, tenant records, financial documents, and maintenance records, to assess compliance with leasing agreements, safety regulations, and fair housing laws.
• Examine property records and documentation to identify discrepancies or potential compliance issues.
• Collaborate with property managers and relevant staff to address compliance concerns and guide the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to property management and leasing.
• Generate detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and areas requiring corrective action based on hard file reviews.
