27J Schools in the Denver metro area is seeking an Affiliate Instructor for the 27J ALT License Program. You will deliver practitioner-focused instruction for general education and Special Education licensure candidates, using adult-learning frameworks and Thinking Classroom methods to foster high engagement.

The role emphasizes co-planning with the program coordinator, timely feedback on learning assignments, and alignment to Colorado standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• For SPED Assignment: SPED endorsement required.
• Minimum 5 years PK-12 teaching experience; SPED role requires 5+ years SPED experience.
• Experience teaching adult learners is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pedagogy and standards required.

Responsibilities

• Co-Plan with program coordinator to tailor licensure coursework to needs of candidates.
• Lead high-engagement instructional sessions for licensure candidates.
• Ensure content aligns with Colorado Teacher Quality Standards and SPED laws.
• Assess and provide actionable feedback on learning assignments.
• Model Thinking Classroom and 27J GELL frameworks in instruction.
