Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in an Affective Needs program in Parker, CO. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position starting ASAP for the 2026–2027 school year, with compensation up to $65/hour.

You will develop and implement IEPs, deliver individualized instruction, support behavioral and social-emotional needs, and collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff for an elementary caseload.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education license with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience with affective needs or behavioral/social-emotional needs preferred.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• School-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction within an Affective Needs program.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and communication needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
