Job summary

Lodestar Consulting, Inc. is actively seeking multiple full-time AF MRO Financial SMEs at various experience levels to join our team in support of our Air Force client. The role involves data analytics, budget formulation and execution, and developing methodologies related to the MRO solution.

The candidate will interact with HQ, Air Logistic Complexes, and bases worldwide to ensure sustainment and day-to-day operations of MRO. Travel is required as needed to support MAJCOM/Command assignments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in AFWCF Funds Control, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Accounts Payable, and related areas.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify root causes.
• Familiarity with AFWCF Lines of Accounting and financial data elements.

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial representative to base MRO users.
• Support DFAS and ALC MRO users with FM questions.
• Help resolve MRO system-related process issues and guide users through functional processes impacted by the system.
• Provide analysis and problem resolution for fixes to reported problems.
• Provide targeted assistance to users based on MRO metrics, recurring critical task results, and results of other data analysis.
• Provide ad hoc and on-the-job training to MRO users via telephone, video-teleconference, webinar, or on-site visit (when local).
• Facilitate and promote Strategic Communications/Change Management activities.
• Provide support to the MRO Help Desk, e.g., surge and end-of-year processes.
• Participate in MRO process improvement workshops identifying gaps, and providing solutions to bridge gaps and enhance processes.
