Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks an experienced Flight Director to support the DHS Customs & Border Protection Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program. The role covers eight operational sites across the US including New Mexico, with a focus on mission control, safety, and data integrity.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; weather observation training (16h) or during first contract year

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of contact and control Aerostat mission activity during shift.
• Maintain weather status and trends affecting missions.
• Communicate with TARS Control Center and other agencies as needed.
• Maintain flight logs, weight and balance records, and system performance data.
• Direct and supervise flight operations and maintenance crews during shifts.
